ConstructionSkills skills competition
Monday, February 22nd, 2010The regional event will take place on 24th February 2010 in Pembrokeshire College, Haverfordwest, and this year Carl Povey, Director of Bugols will be judging the Carpentry section.
The SkillBuild competition is the largest multi-trade competition in the country for construction trainees and apprentices. It covers ten crafts including:
- Carpentry
- Joinery
- Bricklaying
- Cabinet Making
- Plastering
- Dry Walling Systems
- Painting and Decorating
- Stonemasonry
- Wall and Floor Tiling
The competition is run by ConstructionSkills with the endorsement of UK Skills, the competition managers for the bi-annual WorldSkills UK competitions. Success at the SkillBuild regional heats will give entrants the opportunity to challenge for a place on the WorldSkills UK team and progress to compete at the 2011 WorldSkills competition in London. So the sky is the limit!
